I used the UW Macro Mode. I tried attaching the photos (from my office), but the filies are too big. I will work on it when I get home.

I have the 560 with Oly PT-037. I love it. If you buy the balnce weight for the camera it is neautral. I have taken a lot of photos with it, I have a few in my stats. The camera has a very quick recovery time and I have been happy with the one or two macros I took. I got the Camera, housing and Oly flash for less than $900, can't go wrong with that in my book. The camera has a flash mount on top of the camera, and I bought the short arm to mount the flash but it has cuased me a lot of frustration with shadows on my images. I am now buying a tray and arms to mount my strobe and light to get it off to the side as the housing can cause shadows when working in close to your subjects. All in all I like the camera both above and below water.

I found the shutter delay to be significantly less pronounced than with the Oly7070, and also the ability to autofocus in low light much improved. As far as the flash recycling, I still missed a few shots in Galapagos because of the delay, but I'm talking seconds here. I'm very impatient. I doubt the strobe on an SLR would recycle any faster.

Well, I found one thing that kind of annoys me about this camera. Why does the f-stop only go down to f8? That limits a lot of possibilities. Something to keep in mind that I wish I had noticed beforehand. Still, it's a pretty good little camera.

It will depend on how much you're zoomed in. You can get f2.8 at wide angle, but not at 18x. This is true for any lens on any camera.

I'm talking about creating a wider DOF and for certain lighting situations. Most, if not all SLRs go to f 16 or f22. I think my Oly 7070 went to f 16 but I don't remember for sure.

Most of the P&S cameras with manual control stop down only to ƒ8.

I believe one of the factors here is how small the imaging sensors are to begin with. You can reach a point of diminishing returns for stopping down any further than ƒ8.

With with my Oly E-510, measured distortion starts to get worse below ƒ16.
