Olympus told us "sorry, diver error' when our 5060 flooded. What is the $185 flood benefit that you described? Did you get it from Olympus or from your dealer? Any idea how much it cost and how long it was good for?

It might be a deal for the 5050 only, eh?

I called Olympus's tech support and that said that basically I send the camera in and they can
a) repair it
b) swap it with a referb

all for a flat rate price of $185...As with all repairs and referbs I'll get a 90 limited warrenty

Aloha Slowhands!

I know what you mean....it is the perfect opportunity to upgrade and last year I was serious thinking about upgrading to the 7070...already had the housing on order and everything. Then I heard it was discontinued too and thought why go from discontinued model to discontinued model? Then I thought some more and realised that am ready for a DSLR, so I bought a 5D - but am very sure that I'm not going to house it. So until my wallet has recovered from the purchase of my 5D I will invest in another DSLR for UW use only. Long live upgrades :D
