Hi there,

I am having this model of camera and would like to ask for some opinion on the fuction of this camera. Is it good for taking underwater photo? i personally in love with macro.. is it good to take macro photo with this camera? should i invest strobe and wide lens? or should i invest on a better camera for taking macro?

thanks,
ray

There doesn't seem to be many people using the C-770 on this board. This camera
came too soon after the 8080 and to close to the E-Volt to have attracted much
attention. But there are a few of us out here.

I'm taking a C-770 to the Caymans this month for a photo class. I'll be able to tell you
more when I return. My main concern with this camera is battery life. I'm planning on
changing batteries between every dive and I'm not using the internal strobe. Using the
internal strobe will shorten the battery life considerably.
As for your other questions, Yes I will be using an external strobe. If you ever want
a wide enough shot to see a dive partner (other than a "head-n-shoulders") then you'll
want a WAL. Macro? I'm hoping that Macro/SMacro will work well enough, but I'm
hedging my bets by taking a pair of INON close focus rings.
