I bought a PT-EP12 housing, then discovered the lens port is designed for the 14-42mm ƒ3.5 EZ lens. The port is too short for either my 14-42mm ƒ3.5 II lens or my new 30mm macro.
I don't think the pancake style EZ lens would be any sort of improvement over my existing 14-42mm Mk. II lens, which I use behind a Zen dome port. Since the Zen dome will fit the EP12 housing I would not buy a new dome port. Unfortunately the Zen dome port looks a little bit too long if I wanted to use the 30mm macro. Oly's macro port is nice, but too expensive.
Then I thought of purchasing Zen's extension ring adapter, under the EP12 flat port, so I could use the 30mm macro lens. Any thoughts or advice on this?
Here's the Zen adapter.
