Very Nice. I was in Cozumel in July for my 43 birthday. I loved it. I may do it again someday. From the looks of it you seen more than we did. We did 12 dives in 5 days Who did you dive with. We staid at Hotel Cozumel and dove with Dive Paradise.

Very Nice pictures indeed, especially the Painted Thuridilla (and Judy's finger). You must have an eagle eye. Thanks for sharing.

Scuba Club Cozumel. We've been there twenty times in the past fourteen years. Love it.

Jim...this is one of the best Coz trip reports I've ever read. And your photos are fantastic! Thanks so much for posting the link so I could read it again!

That is fabulous!

We are off for our first trip to Cozumel the day after tomorrow. I am getting excited about diving there. Doesn't look like I will even deal with asking for particular sites but just jump in wherever the boat goes coz it all looks fab!!

Can't wait - hope I get some images that are as good as yours!

Very nice. We were in Cozumel last week as well. Those must have been your bubbles we saw at Columbia Deep on Tuesday. :-)

I took along my 5050 as well but only came back with 2 or 3 (of the 100 or so) which are close to being as nice as yours. The ones which look nice were taken inside the swim thrus when the internal flash went off. (No strobe yet)

Did you use your strobe for all your photos ? In particular the midnight parrotfish, school of tangs and rainbow parrotfish ? I have similar photos but they look nothing like yours.

I tried feeding some of the pics thru photoshop (underwater.atn) but that seems to suck all the color out of them.

Woops - that wan't the parrot fish I wanted to post - this is. (Same fish - on one the flash went off).

The photos look a little better on my computer. I used photoshop to make them smaller for posting...

Wow, Jim. Gorgeous photos and great trip report! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you.

I've set up the camera to always fire the strobes. While the strobes only reach out about four or five feet, any illumination that I can get will help. I also use have a wide angle lens adapter...the parrotfish and tangs were closer than they look.

You can improve some of the overly blue images by adding a little magenta and increasing contrast a tiny bit in PS. Most of my pictures are as they came out of the camera, but have been resized for the web; a few have been cropped.

Jim
