Hi everyone i have abit of a problem, i own a PT-027 housing to suit the 7070, the four screws fixing the tray support plate to the housing (located on the bottom of the housing) have given way what i need to know is what type of resin to use so as not to weaken the polycarbonate housing advice would be very much appreciated

I wish I could answer that for you but I can't.

I noticed some stress cracks in the tripod mount of my PT-010 housings and put super glue on it. So far so good.

The only thing I can suggest is for you to e mail some underwater camera suppliers and see if they have an answer for you.

Some of the folks at backscatter.com may be of help.

My suggestion is to pick up a used Ikelite housing. I know somebody who is selling one. *wink* *wink*

If you interested, shoot me a PM.

Otherwise, I would go with superglue (cyanoacrylate). Make sure the housing is really dry and then apply it to the cracks. Perhaps you could just glue the screws in place.
