Just curious. Is there an easier way to switch between my modes than going to menu > camera > my modes > choose mode > set

I'm thinking if I'm trying to switch between a super-macro setting and a wide-angle setting to catch a passing manta, this may take too long.

I guess you can also switch the dial and switch it back to "my modes" and than choose the new mode - but I'm thinking there has to be a quicker way, no?

Not sure which camera model you have, assuming it's a C5050/C5060/C8080.

Short Cut:
Program the My Mode menu as a 'Shortcut' ( OK > Mode Menu > Setup > Short Cut > A, B or C ). I have A --> Drive, B --> Picture quality and C --> My Mode. With the mode dial in 'My Mode', 2 clicks and you are in the My Mode selection menu.

Custom Button:
The other way is to program My Mode into the 'Custom Button' ( OK > Mode Menu > Setup > Custom Button > My Mode ). But you will need to hold the Custom Button down and turn the jog dial at the same time to select your My Mode setting.

Set your A or S option (which ever you use least) for the one and your my mode for the other and then you just have to dial between the two.

I have found the Short Cut method to be very easy to use. I prefer to reserve the Custom Button for ISO, to try to get the "big stuff" that is out of strobe range. Then I have both aperture and ISO to play with.
