Loaded into underwater housing, took a couple pics, worked fine. Dove, turned on Camera, and it went to Flash menu, would not come out. Would not go into main menu, would not come out of flash menu. Do I need to send this in to Oly? Help??!

My first shot at this would be the mode dial problem the 5060 is famous for. Sometimes if there is too much pressure on it this can cause the symptoms you mention. I am always ultra careful when lowering the housing mode dial cup.

Are you still having the problem or did you get it fixed?
I had a simular concern with my 5060 last year.
It had to do with clearances in the housing and water pressure would acctually press multiple buttons at once. this caused camera to lock up until I assended 5-10 ft.
Or salt in button to make it stick

I tried it at different depths...and then above water. Still the same. So I sent it into Olympus for repair. Took about a week for them to send notice that they would repair it for $180, including tax and shipping, and that it would take about 6-10 days. I said ok...will post when I get it back. Also the repair includes cleaning and adjusting. Sounds pretty good so far.....

Camera came in today....not bad at all. Will try to use it this weekend, see how it does. The receipt says ...guess...."mode dial replaced"......

I've had the same problem with both my 8080 and sp-350. So far I've been just bagging taking pictures for the dive, pull the battery and then it's Ok for a while. My sp-350 lost it's flash function. I'm thinking about changing brands the next time around.
