Hello all,

I certified OW back in the mid 90s, but circumstances didn't allow me to dive. So now I am taking up the sport again, and hope to move into very technical work. The bug bit again as I watched the WKPP divers do their research less than 30 minutes from my house. So yes, I live in cave/cavern central for the US. Eventually, I will cave certify and proceed to wreck penetration which is where my interests lie.

It's a LONG road from here though. Until then I hope to meet divers living and visiting the area, and will dive any chance I get. I am accumulating my gear slowly now and trying to get fit and shake off years of rust at swimming!

I'm looking forward to joining some good conversations here. :)

Het there PerroneFord,
Welcome to SB and welcome back to diving. Wrecks and caves are fun, interesting dives. Got a chance to do both down Cancun way.

Hello and Welcome to SB.com :D

You are certainly in good company here, and it's a great place to meet other Florida divers, indeed - Cavern and Cave divers. :11:

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

You live in an exciting place to dive with the fantastic caves you have in you're area! I hope to learn to cave dive someday myself and look forward to meeting the folks at the WKPP at some point. I have more wrecks in California than caves, but I see cave training as a great step toward training for wreck diving.

I also realize that it will be a long road, but look forward to the journey! Great training and patience is the key from what I understand.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or respond to in this forum.
