Old Marineland Gate Access

Hi Everyone,

My buddy and I are planning a Father's Day dive at Old Marineland this Sunday. I have seen some Emails that the gate hours may have been extended to 8:30 am (or maybe even longer) and they are less attentive to opening the gate. This is our favorite dive site and it would be a shame if fisherman, divers, kayakers, and ocean lovers were to lose access to this beautiful area. If anyone has been there lately or has any information about problems with access or can confirm the change in the gate hours I would appreciate hearing about it.

There were more than a dozen vehicles stuck outside this morning. Some were there since 6:00. The security guard never showed up, so we had to wait until around 9:00 for the guy who checks the water quality to unlock it. We'll be back again tomorrow at 8:30. We may have to drive over the steel cable to get in.
