Okenia felis (patting ourselves on the back)

The itty bitty slug that we found at Point Lobos a couple years ago has now been officially pronounced a new species, in a paper describing it in last month's Journal of the California Academy of Sciences. It is called Okenia felis (Clinton's suggestion).

If you go to the writeup on the GUE site, you can see just how tiny these fellows were -- If I'd seen them, I'm not sure I'd even have recognized that they were nudis at all, let alone a new species! Very great kudos due to the sharp eyes of Team Kitty . . .
