We've been in cabin 1, which was great. Can't say we had deck-cleaning noise, actually no issues of any kind.
Folks with us that stayed in #9 mentioned generator noise as an issue. And when we had holding tank problems one day, #6 backed up first, although the crew jumped right on it and fixed the problem as well as cleaning up the mess.
I would have thought #8 would have generated some squawks from staircase noise, but the two in there never mentioned it.
Getting an inboard dive locker seemed like a good idea, (and truth be told there's not a bad locker on the boat), but they end up with everyone's wetsuits and skins hanging over your stuff. The outboard ones have less traffic, the wetsuits dry faster (make sure you bring clothespins), and the anticipated spray problem was non-existant. Just avoid the starboard rear locker outboard, as it seemed to accumilate standing water on the deck in front of it.
Those were the only "negative" things I could think of. Have fun!
All the best, James
