OK - my second W & C Post

I unplugged the speakers from the computer I use most often, haven't missed them yet.


It's still a little disconcerting when I use the kid's machine at home and it begins to talk back to me and make other odd sounds

My one and only trip to the Keys (2 yrs ago, girl trip) left me hungering for MORE Buffett and more Lynyrd Skynyrd. "Sweet Home Alabama" was the theme song, I noticed. I had enough of the reggae, although I enjoyed it at the time.

You folks know how to PAR-TAY. Made a blue-blood Texan proud! We're going back to the Keys next June, hope to meet some of you and dive together! Not sure where we'll be staying, last time was Holiday Isle in Islamorada- it was great.

When I threw up my "Neopreme" W&C, I was so blown away wif your funny and insightful responses.

(Requisite disclaimer) this thread will be nothing like that I'm sure. Plus I'm pumped pretty full of narcotics and antibiotics these days following the accident... this one is just for me. Here goes.

When will Dive Shops & Dive Boats knock-it-off already with the cheezy Carribean music, steel drum music, "Unda Dah Sea" and (gag) Buffet crapola blasting on their websites?

Its not fresh, and instantly sends me for the back arrow, and not for the volume control. Its the only welcome that is worse than making me sit through that Magnum Opus flash intro you envisioned and then over-paid some kid big bucks for years ago and just can't let it die. (worse yet is when there is no "skip flash intro...." I am so gone)

Its Two Thousand Freekin' Four. Your site is not fresh, its dated and cheezy and it SUCKS with that intro music blasting. Lose it or lose me and my cash.

OK - I'd done. Man. There are a couple of shops in SoCal and at least two dive boats that insist in living in 1999... And I still run unto them on the web. Get a grip people.

My loathe for all things Buffet and Beatle are well known on these pages.....
I guess in thinking, that egregious situation of unwelcome website "music" is not nearly as bad as being stuck on a dive boat in the middle of the ocean with Capt. Heartless blasting all Buffet all the time (huh, Simon?) You got me there...

Ken, i agree with you about that incident and the same Buffett rolling over and over and over. Shame the boat went down though, nice op apart from the music - yeh i know, kick me out of FL now - but first give me the green card - otherwise i am out of the country too!

BTW, sorry i was a little late finding this one, been diving and otherwise busy doing hurricane stuff - Ivan could have discreetly plucked all the Buffett CD's up out of FL and dumped them in the Gulf, but oh no, it had to go west and miss FL and the tri-fecta of cane's this year
