I already owend a 20mm fixed. But I heard the lens to get is this 28 to 105 that has a macro setting. Its not a canon lens. I was happy with my 20. In the begining I want everything to be as set as possible and not have to worry about zooming in and pulling out. The 6 mega pixels is such a good quality I shoot wide and than crop digitally later. Is it the Sigma lens? Or Tamron also makes two 28-105mm lenses? One is simalar to the Sigma, the other is huge and a lot more money.
 
I do not know which one it is I just know its short so it will fit in the port.
