Hello to all my fellow divers! I live in Charleston SC and will have Thursday - Tuesday off in July. Where do you recommend? I just got back from a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. I'm leaning toward going back to Grand Cayman or the Keys. Any suggestions for an easy to get to place with awsome diving for a sort of short trip?

Thanks

Bonaire or Belize depending on the cost and availibility of flights.

If you haven't tried any N.C. wreck diving, I think it's better than the keys.
The Bahama islands are close enough, but I would recommend going anywhere but
Grand Bahama. I hear Stella Maris is nice and maybe Eleuthra or Andros.

You realize, of course, that many of us hate you now.

;)

But yes, Caymans, Bonaire, Turks & Caicos... all are good choices.

My wife and I booked a cheap trip to Puerta Vallarta (6 day 7 night) and the cost was $800.00 all inclusive resort, including air fare.. Couldn't pass it up..

I think Cozumel is fantastic, but I haven't been there since the hurricane. But I would think that the vis would still be great, and I just love those drift dives.

I've always loved Key Largo. Great reefs and Wrecks. 4 daytime dives, maybe a night dive. The rest of the keys and Miami for the night life. Check out http://www.scuba-do.com. They're my favorite dive op, and they can book reasonably priced rooms for ya too.

Quite the contrary! Grand Bahama has some excellent diving, great prices and there may be direct flights from your area. Small, laid back island with some great diving, including sharks and wrecks, great wall diving and even caves and caverns (if that's your thing).

Give Fred Riger at Grand Bahama Scuba a call. www.grandbahamascuba.com He or his wife Melinda will take very good care of you. I can personally guarantee that!

Somewhere with warm, clear water and lots of fishlife. Yeah, that place.
