I guess maybe the context of my rant was not clear. I just posted a reply to someone who got quite defensive about what I said and that I should rant on my own thread, yet I was merely replying to what was posted. So here it is, per their request!
 
Democracy only works when the entire population have at least have 10 brain cells..
 
Some people rant to just get it off their chest, some as they have a certain long-held POV that everyone should know about, some just do it all in fun. Some people like their threads to stay on course - sometimes as the question hasnt yet been answered, they might even put in some more posts to try to steer it back on course, some start and dont care where the thread goes, some troll to start up controversy, some get kind of narced if you post a humourous reply when they want only serious replies. Each to their own, i can neither agree nor disagree with you on this one, i have seen all these types in various threads on here and elsewhere.

Are those 10 cells assumed to be functional? Regardless,
"democracy" is an insane form of government which results in mob-rule.
 
exactly.. if we all had the same opinion there would be no need for this board would there.
everybody has an opion...respect that...or don't expect anyone to respect yours.

No democracy is government for the people,of the people and by the people....that being said..
most people don't have a clue as to what they want, how they want it or how to get it. common sense isn't common.
right now the US government decides it's leadership not based on the best person for the job, but on who is gonna screw it to us the least. still I prefer it to most if not all of the other options.
