That's a fair drive to all of the good Ohio Quarries in NW Ohio, but you'll be just a couple of hours southwest of Barcelona, NY for some of the best wreck diving that Lake Erie has to offer. August is a great time of year to get good wreck diving in.

Generally a strong thermocline in the 60-70ft range. Above can be 65-75F easy. Below is 40F +- a couple of degrees with awesome viz in the cold water.
