Off to Captain Don's Habitat in Curacao tommorow for a week. Will report upon return.

Returned from week in Curacao. Good diving. New experience never saw another dive boat except the other one from the resort(Habitat Curacao). supposedly 19 dive operators on island but who knows where they were. Diving pretty good no current. Good place to go for non divers. One in group lost heavily in casinos one night. He retreated to diving after that.

There was another group there from Waco the "Bottom Time Dive Club". They had other boat same times we did. Pretty good bunch of folks. Talked about the usual places to dive in Central Texas.

Hi I'm thinking of going to Curacao, you mentioned good diving, how would you compare it with say Cozumel, Cayman, or Roatan. I'm thinking of staying at Lions Dive. thanks, mv

The diving is shore diving at it's best. Of course the die-hard Bonaire fans will say it's better there, but hey, it's a only good days swim over there.:D Curacao has a bit more fishing lines and some trash at the sites visited by the locals that fish and party, but there's hidden gems. Lots of fish, less current (most of the time), viz is a tad less than say Coz, maybe on par with Roatan. Lions Dive is a nice old resort, being remodeled now. Come on down, you'll like it.
