Actually, I have spoken to, and dove in Greenbriar. Its not off limits. Unless they changed it this year. Unfortunately, it is only average of 15 ft deep. But, as for the cleanup, I think a few of us will be dropping by to help, more to look for a goody bag a friend lost last year.....That place gets filthy with junk from swimmers, I won a much needed, new pair of cold water gloves from Blue Marble- I brought in the nastiest Shirt during their contest last year.

I talked to a few people at work and they said it was off limits to diving. You could swim in the zone but that was it. Well have fun up there its a good cause. I will be working so I will not be able to make it.

Well, maybe it just depends who you talk to, because like I said, I have been in it, with full permission of the rangers. Oh well, maybe they changed it this year too, I haven't been in there since last year, was going to do an ice dive there, but got sidetracked.

Diving at Greenbrier is fine for certified divers (bring a c-card!). Do please bring a dive flag to tow and notify the on-duty Ranger of your activities. Watch out for boaters!

The cleanup begins at 9AM. Please see the attached link with more information and link to the latest "clean-up flier"

Yes the clean-up was a big success. Lots of trash collected. Thanks to all of the divers from BMD who showed up to dive, to lend their support and who brought a covered dish. This was our biggest showing in our seven years of doing the clean-up. Just about everyone walked away with a prize and no one walked away hungry.

Seems I can't post URL's until after I make 5 posts. If you want to see pictures, please go to our web site. You can find it by doing a search for Blue Marble Divers and once on our home page, click on the photo gallery link.
