I have a Pro Plus 3, so I familiar with the Oceanic programs and menus. The computer has performed flawlessly. While I am happy with the PP3, I would like to get more streamlined and the PP3 is a big piece of gear underwater. I am thinking about replacing the PP3 with the AI - Oceanic OCi wrist computer and a independent hp hose and 2" spg gauge. Very interested in opinions on either computer. The reason I really like the AI computers is because of the ability to download every dive with the real time air information, at any given point on a dive graph. To me it is interesting and helpful feedback.

Good buddy just had to send his OCI in for Warranty Replacement. Three months old less than 12 dives....

Seabear H3, get the SPG now, and when the transmitter comes out in a few months grab that. Will be a bit more expensive than the Oceanic, but will be a much nicer computer.

I have an Oceanic OCi. Only have about 150 dives on it, but like it very much. Flawless operation so far.

I met a guy in Belize who had a problem with his OCi link to his transmitter. Turns out he had the wrong serial number entered. After entering the correct s/n, no problem.

I was trained as a 'tables' diver, before the use of SPG's or even BCD's. The OCi was my first computer and certainly overkill for my training, but I really like the easy availability of the info it provides.

Cheers
Charles
