The DX4 is a good first stage, similar to most of the balanced diaphragm regs out there. The Slimline is crap, and the worst 2Nd stage I have ever tried. Despite that, many people use it as an octo. The Zeta is a very testy little 2nd stage. High airflow due to the servo valve. Oceanic came out with a newer design a couple of years ago, make sure this one has gone back to them for the upgrade. I have always had a hard time with these 2nd stages. But, when its working properly, its a nice little 2nd stage (emphasis on little)...

if the price is right take it, but be advised Leisure Pro has the zeta/dx4 with envirokit installed for only $275. After you learn to "sip" the air from a zeta, other regs feel like you are sucking on a straw. Btw, Oceanic corporate will do annuals/rebuilds at the factory.!

Great reg, the shop that I help at carried them. They are discontinued.... if you buy one online I strongly suggest you buy at an authorized dealer, only for the following reason. You can take it to any local authorized dealer for service w/o having to pay an arm and a leg for repair, also you won't have to send it to the dealer you bought it at and wait weeks to months for it to be done. Be prepared to spend more than the $150 - $200 you're seeing online, you'll pay $450 - $500 but it'll be worth it in the long run.

Hope this helps.
