I would highly recommend this trip to any advanced diver who is interested in a shark diving encounter, especially those who enjoy underwater photography.
Overview:I recently joined Epic Diving for a week of oceanic whitetip shark encounters at Cat Island, Bahamas. This region is one of the last strongholds in the world for seeing oceanics. The expedition is a week-long, land-based adventure that gives the option of both snorkeling and SCUBA diving in blue water. I've been out on several shark diving trips, and this one is a photographer's dream. Oceanic whitetip sharks are pelagic, so naturally they are very curious creatures. They will come right up to you in the water, providing great photo opportunities!
Dates: The season for oceanic whitetip sharks runs April - June. Epic Diving offers the option of joining an existing trip, or booking a full week to yourself with up to 10 people.
