The computer is a standard hockey puck comp. I use the earlier veo 200 version with both buttons on the front. I prefer wrist mounts myself but it's a good choice with a liberal algorithm.

funny, I was looking at the oceanic geo myself... what do you think about it?

I like the Geo. I had a 250 and loved it, moved to their AI console (Pro Plus II), and love that as well!

Geo display is too small for me. I like the 200 and being able to access both buttons simultaneously. The button on the side is not that big of a deal it's just personal preference. Any of Oceanics computers are fine. I do not like consoles and as a technical diver who dives a hogarthian configuration air integrated or wireless spg function is a failure point I don't fancy. I have my spg on a 24 inch hose clipped off to left hip d-ring and am so used to it that anything else makes me uncomfortable. I also like to dive wrecks whenever possible and the transmitter sticking out along with all the metal that can interfere with signal is another minus. Some people love em and have no issues. But there have been enough posts and stories of those who have had problems that I prefer not to take the chance.

I'm going to agree with Jim. If going for a wrist computer, I would get the Geo or put my 250 in a boot. Wireless AI is a little to risky for me, especially when diving a lot of wrecks (my favorite). If you can track your gas consumption (which any diver should be able to do), a simple SPG would suffice clipped off Hog-style (or however you like). I just got my Pro Plus 2 for a deal I just couldn't pass up :D

anyone out there using this computer console? or just the computer... what can you tell me about it? is it small/compact? oceanic web site does not give you the measurements on the unit under specs. http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detai...=OceanicVeo250
Wife and I each have the console version. Computer is about 2" diam. Plenty large enough to read (I need bifocals topside, but do not use them UW and can read the computer just fine). Hose comes from under my left arm and the computer is attach via a retractor to a D-ring on my left chest. Very convenient and simple to use. For more detailed info (although I don't see sizes) see the Oceanic Worldwide Website .

I'm trying to figure on how to download to my computer...all the cd gave me is a log book!
