Oceanic Pro Plus X won't charge

Just traded in Pro Plus 2 for Pro Plus X. The X will not take a charge. I have plugged into multiple different current suppliers, using the supplied USB cable. Any thoughts on what might be wrong? When I plug in, the charging 0% message comes up (had been 7% when I started trying) but it does not improve and after a few minutes the message turns off
