I have a buddy that has one, he likes it....but id go with the alpha 8 since the alpha 7 has been discontinued.
I have the exact same setup. I use is as a backup rig but I have taken it down to 150' with no problems in Hawaii. I have also used it in cold water and it works great. It's a good rig. Enjoy!
