The Oceanic MaxDepth SWIV 2 gauge console - does anyone know if this unit still has the "receiver" for another puck-type unit on the back? I'm wondering if it's just the 3 gauge version with the compass removed from the back part - leaving an open pocket. I want a Suunto SK-7 and I'm debating whether or not I can put it in this console if I change my mind from my original plan to get the SK-7 compass on the retractor.

I'm guessing the SWIV means it accepts some kind of standard size unit - whether that be electronic or analog like a depth gauge i.e., it's a form factor. Can anyone verify this?

I have a Veo 3.0 with a SPG in a SWIV mount. There is no "open pocket" on the back. I suspect that a compass could be added as it is a modular unit, though I have not seen or heard of that being done.

I would not expect a Suunto compass to be compatible in any case.
