I just purchased an older Oceanic Flex on eBay and took it into my dive shop to have her take a look at it she wasnt sure if it is warm water only.

Is the Flex a warm water BC or have they ever made a model that is warm water?

I know it is an older model as it doesnt look anything like the new one.

The Flex would not be considered a warm-water BC. It is one of the earliest models to utilize our BioFlex bladder material which, being stretchable, allows for a relatively smaller bladder for the same lift capacity - so it worked well for both travel and local diving. I've found an old link with more information on the BC: Oceanic Worldwide - Scuba and Snorkeling Gear, Scuba and Snorkeling Equipment and Dive Gear

We currently produce a BC that would be considered primarily a warm-water or travel BC - the Islander: Oceanic Worldwide - Scuba Diving Buoyancy Compensators - Islander

I appreciate the prompt response Doug.

Thanks for the info!

Jason
