Last year my dive buddy and I purchased the Delta 4/ FDX 10 combo within weeks of eachother from the same LDS.

Mine had a clear DVT plug while hers has a red DVT plug. So, I'm wondering which is the newer design. Someone told me that the older DVTs had only 1 o-ring vs the newer ones that have 2 o-rings. I think I read a thread about this along time ago, but I cannot find it anymore.

thanx

Got mine and one for my mother not long ago and they both have red plugs. Don't know if that helps but no one else has responded.;)

yea, I did some looking around the net today and it seems like the red plug is the newer of the two. Not that I care anyways, as long as it keeps the water out.

On another note, I wonder if the DVT plug gets replaced during annual serivce?

UPDATE: I just checked the service manual and yes, the "plunger" as they call, it does get replaced annualy.
