<Sticks hand up> Me!

I use and Oceanic HD400 (the old version, not the new Flex).

I got it cheap because they were being replaced by the new edition. Love it to bits and the vomit (I mean citrus) yellow makes it quite distinctive!

I haven't tried one but the Oceanic Aeruda is stiff and you couldn't drive a nail through it.

Made of Cordura. I would have bought one if Oceanic made custom cut suits.

According to the advertising, the Aerdura is the suit used by the Royal Navy. I know a few people with this suit and all like it.

Another option is the Flexia, much more flexible.

I just ordered the Oceanic Biodry suit which should be here in about 2 weeks..

I'll let you know how I like it when it arrives and I get a chance to hop in the water with it.

I won't really get a chance to play with it until February in Florida... Now much opportunity for diving in winter in Northeast Ohio..

I dive with an Oceanic Aeruda Ti with a cuff dump. Solid construction (14 layers) and lined with ti powder. I love diving with it and dries fast. I wish they made custom cut suits of this model! My dive buddy uses a Flexia and hes very happy with his. From what I observe, the cut of the Flexia seems to have a more "tailored" look, compared to mine.

Hi there adjuster,

If you have a chance, could you let us know your thoughts overall with the suit so far (dryness / ease of use / comfort / ease of cleaning, toughness, etc.) Any complaints? Quick turnaround time from ordering to receipt?

How did you decide on the BioDry over the other suits out there?

Thanks very much for your help -- I'm looking to buy a drysuit in the next few days and am considering the BioDry, a DUI trilam, or a Diving Concepts trilam.

I have a biodry and i like it alot. I got mine as a rear entry with two thigh pockets. I have had it for about a year. I decided on a biodry because I liked the flexibilty and semicustom features. Before my Biodry, I had a OS Systems trilam suit. It worked fine but was not my personal suit and was not fitted to me. The biodry's nylon protions are extremely durable, while the stretch portions are also durable they are comfortable and actually allow more flexibility. I have dove the suit on numerous wrecks and not had any issues with abrasion or anything like that. The zebra muscles in the ST Laurence started to wear a little, but thats only because i was laying in them during deco. The boots on the Biodry are like combat boots. They have a pretty heavy duty heal. At first i had a problem fitting my fins with them (scuba pro jets) but they ended up fitting fine. I think the boots size a little better than the measurement chart showes. Anyway i like the suit, and have yet to have any seam problems. Its actaully manufactured my USIA. I asked them about it at DEMA this year and its very similar to one of their models. Hope that helps.

One point about the Aeruda, and military approval. I am actually in the Army, and I can tell you just because the military uses the suit doesnt mean its good for civilian scuba diving. Most military divers wouldnt necessarily be looking at a suit for the same reasons as civilians and also do not have the same budget. Anyway i tried a Aeruda and i liked it, but it is very heavy, almost too heavy to be flexible. It seemed pretty much indestructible, but did not have the flexibility or cut of the Biodry. I could see a military buying them for durability and longevity issues. The other thing is the British Military likely uses them because the Aeruda is made in Great Britian, and they probably got a government deal on it.

I did 11 dives in my Biodry suit in the FL. Keys in February and loved it. My suit fits me well (custom fitted) - although I did have to buy new fins since my dry suit boots would not fit into my size medium fins..

My LDS seems to prefer Oceanic products - so this was the suit they recommended for me. I did consider the Dive Rite suit, but it does not come in custom sizes and I'm shorter than the standard sizes so it would not fit me well.

My suit is very flexible and comfortable. I use the suit for warmth and use my BC as a BC.. Suit seems to keep me very dry (except for sweating.....). I have the back-zip - I was too cheap to spend the extra money for front zip.

I haven't really given it much of a workout as to durability since all of my FL Keys dives were boat dives.

I think it took about a month to get the suit - maybe less.

If you want any more info please let me know.
