Your font drives me nuts, it looks blurry....

Sorry about that, I am often in the stealth mode at work and must type into my mail program first and cut/paste here….I will try to use a more reader friendly font.
Now, about buying a titanium regulator, I still see it as a waste of money for reasons mentioned very succintly in the post I previously linked.

The only real disadvantage of using titanium in SCUBA regulators is cost. As mentioned before, titanium alloys are compatible with the vast majority of recreational gas mixes, with only the high O2 varieties (e.g. decompression mixes) being forbidden. Thus, if you can find a titanium regulator on sale or used, cost will no longer be an impediment to acquiring one. Just remember to follow the directions in your regulator's manual and everything will be great.

Different people have different priorities, but when I travel for diving in SE Asia, most of the local domestic flights allow only 15 or 20 kilos for carry-on luggage. Anything more and you have to pay extra. My Titanium reg saves me around 2 lbs., or almost a kilo over my other regs.

Yes, I know I may need to add more weight when I dive, but I won't need to carry that weight through the airport or pay overweight charges on it!

And it is a great breathing reg!
