I do love the large exhaust Ts on the Apeks.

Those small exhaust Ts look cooler but all those bubbles floating about-ick.

My Apeks TX50 breathes very smooth.
 
I personal choose the Apeks as it's easy to get serviced and comes highly recomended from many divers.

I also have friends that have the same, so it makes it easier for us to have the tools with us, as we all have the same equipment.

I think you're probably making a good choice with either. I have the Oceanic ones and don't have any trouble with them. Coldest water for me was 43F, max depth 125ft. No issues. One of the guys at my LDS had the same ones down to 170ft with no trouble.

I guess the consensus here is Apeks but if you have the opportunity to try both out for yourself before buying, that would probably be the best. Get what works best for you.
