Has anyone ever mounted a Oceanic Chute 3 wing on a plate, such as a dive rite? This may get me started in a plate/wing set up till i can afford a proper wing.... I have a chute 3 now, and i know the wing is completely removable. Just a thought....

How do you like your Chute III? I looked at one at ScubaToys and liked the overall design and features but didn't really dig the bladder....your opinions?

I have the Chute lll and like it alot. It's a well-made, high-quality, top-of-the-line BCD.
It's very comfortable and the quick-release weight system is well designed. I have the standard size bladder and it's fine. I will say however that for traveling to the Caribbean this heavy-duty BC is a little bulky to pack and a bit heavy.
You may be able to get it for a low price now because I think it was just replaced by a new Oceanic model that is similar. MY LDS pushed the Zeagle Ranger hard but I Liked the Chute more.

I've also got a Chute 3 and love it. Very heavy duty, I can't imagine how you could wear one out. If your considering one, get the Chute 3 while you still can. The Excursion that they replaced it with does'nt have any pockets except for the little roll down. The Chute 3 has two pockets one on each side just behind the weight release buckle.

I have a chute 3 and love it I just used it at Blue Grotto, Devils Den, and at the Keys I love it I went from QLR to Chute 3 great BC just a little bulky

It's been a while since I took apart my Chute, but I don't believe that the bladder will attach to a backplate. IIRC, the center section is "cut out" laeving no attachment point for a typical BP.
