I bought an oceanic atom 1.0 brand new. This thing is a POS. I took it out and the very first dive, the computer flooded with sea water, the "OC" of "OCEANIC" silk screen print washed off the screen and left a residue. Needless to say, the computer wouldn't turn on afterwards.
Also, found the following problems:
-the buttons are small and difficult to press, you need to press a button to check your air; I had the plastic screen protector on all the time; maybe it's easier with it off. The buttons are not very sensitive and you really have to push hard to get it to turn. Was quite difficult with cold water gloves
-Wrist mounting the watch isn't terribly convenient with gloves; need to use the expander and that doesn't fit well. I found the best solution was to use the expander then put the thing on my forearm. That way when you take your glove on and off, you don't have to take the computer off too. Unfortunately if you take the drysuit or wetsuit off, you still need to take the watch off/on again - may lead to loss eventually.
-Doesn't have a compass, either you get a wrist one or a retractor one.
-I now have an air integrated hosed Sherwood Wisdom which can be picked up for about $500 including quick disconnect and compass; works great and very happy with it (identical algorithim/menu to the oceanics it seems). Put it on a retractor on my BC and does everything I want without dangling. At first I was really against the hose but it has the compass on it anyway and it beats putting the watch on and off in between dives.
