Just got an oceanic titanium reg. and was installing bcd hose. I noticed that two of the LP ports had label of R on them. I was not sure if it was a label for primary second stage of what.
any ideas??

doesen't even mention it. It explains using up or down position, and clearly mentions LP and HP and even right side up of second stage, but nothing else.

Regulator?

Might be the venturi-assisted ports that are meant to give better performance for attached second stages.

Might want to post this in the mnufacturers section here on the board. Oceanic has a forum and rep here.

Actually, I asked the same question when I bought an Oceanic reg. It turns out that the "R" port is the preferred port for the second stage. It supposedly has a more direct flow than the forward port. However, I did not like the rearward angle of the hose connection and eventually hooked my second stage to the forward port. I have not noticed any difference in breathing.
