Hi,
I bought this snorkel based on some messages I read and some recommendations. I used it for the first time on a snorkeling excursion in Alaska last week and it doesn't stay dry. When I snorkel on the surface, water somehow start seeping in and i'm breathing air and water. Is mine just defective, or does anyone else have this problem. I just brought it the swimming pool to try again and the same thing happens. I'm not impressed with this snorkel. Any other recommendations for a good dry snorkel? Thanks.

I believe you might have something wrong with the ourge valve, maybe? Check the silicone disk underneath the mouthpiece and make sure it forms a good seal.

I have this snorkel, love it for freediving--hate it for SCUBA, too bulky.

No snorkel is going to be 100% dry, but this one is very nice.

I have one too and don't have too much leakage trouble with it....I agree...it's a bulky bugger for diving!

I think I might get the Sherwood Absolute Dry snorkel...anyone know if that's any good?
why not fix or exchange your current snorkel? It's not like you're getting responses say what you have doesn't work. Have you checked that purge yet? I know I've gotten a bit of seaweed stuck in a purge once that made it leak like that. And if it's really a defect, if you just got it you should be able to exchange it.
