Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a booster pump for Oxygen and Helium mixing for technical OC diving.

Can anyone suggest a manufacturer? Is there a used one I can buy cheeper?

Thank you for any advice.-

George

Haskel is the major player for big boosters.

Hydraulics International is also a manufacturer, as is SITEC. You can check for those on ebay.

Also, Diveriteexpress (or whatever they're called now) sells a mini Haskel.

The smaller boosters will set you back $3K when it's all said and done.

The bigger boosters run a LOT more, upwards of $10K for an 8" booster with all the bells and whistles, ready to run.

Don't forget you'll need a shop air compressor to run them if you plan on filling anything larger than rebreather bottles.

I pickup a Haskel AG-30 from High Pressure Technologies Rebuilt unit, works great. At the present time I'm filling 3L rebreather bottles with the occasional 80cf. I'm running it from a set of double 95's that I pump to about 3300psi. I have my own scuba compressor so no problem there. Do plan in the future to run it off of a shop compressor.
There's a lot of booster info over on The Deco Stop just search over there.
