I have one of these, the older version, without the cool knob to set the calibration. Very robust, very quick to get to a stable reading, easy to change the sensor. Battery seems to last forever.

That’s where I first used one, too, and then bought mine.

Looking forward to using it this weekend over on the Atlantic side.

Datel voltmeter as the display and a 9V battery so I'm guessing it uses exactly the same very basic circuit as the Nuvair Pro O2. There's maybe $40 in parts inside and most of that is the voltmeter. You're paying for a sensor, a couple of end caps and a bit of milled aluminium tube. Most AII sensors these days are rated for a minimum of 36 months. I think 42 months is standard from memory.

For anyone interested in building their own, Mark Munro's design is excatly the same as what is inside a Nuvair. I don't know who came first or if there is any connection or just coincidence but either way, this is what is inside a Nuvair oxygen analyser. At least, that's what's inside my Pro O2 when I dissected it.

CCDS is using one just like this and it seems very easy and reliable. At first I was concerned with the calibration knob being bumped while checking multiple tanks and messing up the calibration but that has since proved to be a moot point. I am now a fan of it due to simplicity and ease of use.

Whoa $340!! The Analox is also crazy $$ when did inflation hit o2 analyzers? Agree with above, nice to use at a shop but I dunno if I’d pay 300+ for one. Glad I got a SOLO on Black Friday sale a few years ago for less than twice that price.

Surprisingly the DNA, with a Bluetooth chip instead of LCD, is cheaper. Although guessing BT is cheap since it’s everywhere so moot point

The charters I frequent on the Atlantic side of Florida covet Analox's legacy model, the Analox O2EII handheld analyzer. Much to the disappointment of many of the charters I frequent on the Atlantic side of Florida, Analox discontinued it and the boxy replacement model is here:

It looks there are some stores that still have NOS of the legacy model although it still fetches more than a new Nuvair Quickstick.

Doesn't seem like Nuvair is trying to fool anyone about what's inside since they give a full layout of the internal components on the product page and a video on how to change the sensor and battery.
