Did you dive Cape Kri? How were the corals?
Yep! I should have added, Tarzan had a "wish list" space on their big schedule whiteboard, and they accommodated all my requests. When we did Cape Kri (they slotted it in as an afternoon dive, was rising tide but just before slack) the current was fairly mild, which also meant none of the epic schools that we got at e.g., Lao Lao. It was a great, but not epic dive as it was built up to be (maybe too high expectations?). I can't remember coral condition specifically, sorry, but that means I don't remember extensive bleaching

Thank you! I ask about cape kri not because of it being known for the corals, but because there have been reports widespread bleaching earlier in 2025. The dive itself can be hit or miss - you've always got a nice Sloping reef, but weather or not you have big fish action is up to the currents and Mother Nature :)

Yep I figured that was your concern - I had also heard about the December 2024/early 2025 bleaching but it didn't feel really extensive. Widespread in the sense that there was evidence of it in many sites, but generally not a lot, and also signs of recovery. Then again, I hadn't seen it before, so could be a shifting baseline issue
