Since the treatment, the numbness seemingly moved around (one day on right arm, and the left on the other, weakness (and slight numbness) on both legs and they cleared up on the next day, so on and so forth.

This is some new, and useful, information.
There's lots diving medicine doesn't yet know about DCS, but it does know that bona fide DCS-related limb numbness and weakness do not resolve one day and then reappear the next, or move around from limb to limb. Almost certainly something not dive related is occuring here.
The neurologist is the place to start, so you're on the right track.
