This was a fantastic dive. We managed to be far enough away to avoid the rainy weather, so it was sunny (almost got burned) or slightly cloudy.

We stayed pretty shallow mostly because we were trying to catch moon snails, crabs, and enenomes for the Aquarium (which we got). I'm glad because any deeper than 20ft got really cold.

We saved a sculpin who was trapped in an abandoned lobster trap. I saw a lumpfish (really cute), lots of jouvenile bass (I think), flounder, rock gunnel, and the usual stuff like starfish, lobster, crab, etc. I also saw a nice size fish with some nice medium blue color on the edges, I think it's a blackfish (tautog) but I'm not sure. I've haven't seen such a colorful fish out here before.

This was my first time at Nubble Light and I will definately come back often!

Hi Chris,

My temp gauge is not the best. It takes a long time for the dial to reach the actual temperature. My guess is that the water was in the mid 40'sF at 15ft or less. At 20ft it felt very cold but I'm not sure the temp at that point. We didn't go deeper.
