Sorry Guys but Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay, Broughton Island are not on the NSW Central Coast which extends from the Woy Woy/Umina peninsula in the south to Norah Head in the north. Two dive clubs operate private club boats out of Terrigal - Brisbane Water Aqualung Club and the Terrigal Underwater Club - check out their websites. Les and Fran Graham at Terrigal Dive run dive trips as does Prodive - The Entrance. Good diving out of Terrigal but weather dependent. Gopod viz coming up shortly as we descend into winter. Recommended sites - Foggy's Shark Cave, the Outer Bommie; the wrecks of the Kiama (40m), Galava(48m) and the Hall Cain (43m). Good shore dives on the Terrigal Wall and the Terrigal Cave. Come back late in 08 and we will have a 4000 ton warship sitting in 30m off Avoca Beach as an artificial reef.

hahahahah

well you know how sydney people are.... anything past the pacifc highway is consider up the coast :D

Advokat. Colbar's suggestions are spot on.

I am on the Central Coast as well, and I love Terrigal Haven.

If you go out with any go with Les and Fran @ Terrigal dive store. Good people and I am pretty sure their dive store is the oldest in the country or close to it. It is right on Terrigal Haven so you can boat dive and then in the afternoon dive the haven itself. An easy and safe dive.

Foggy's cave great, just remember you need calm weather for the Terrigal Haven cave and if you dive it get a good map or guide of Les and Fran.

There are some good dive spots off the Entrance, Forresters Beach cliffs and Avoca Island all which Les takes the boat too.

Have you dived Swansea or Catherine Hill bay yet?
