Hey Guys,

I'm looking for scuba destination for my next trip. Start mid november, for 3 weeks. Looking for bigger stuff: sharks, mantas etc. Have to work sometimes, need proper internet for it, so no liveaboards. Locations - all world excluding australia and around, exluding egypt, sudan etc. Going alone, locations with many single divers are preferred. ;)
At this moment my plan is hawaii, big island. The only bad thing is that it's pretty expensive.

Thanks for ideas,

Greg

I enjoy the Bahamas very much and the Caribbean Reef Sharks are amazing to dive with. Have fun on the destination of your choice.

Palau, Micronesia
you are guaranteed lots of sharks and probably mantas - you don't need to do a liveaboard, although doing one there gives you many more dives plus less travel time.
Look at Sam's Diving. Sam's Tours: Palau Diving Micronesia, Island Hopping and dive travels

I have a video you might want to watch:

we did a liveboard, but you don't have to do one to see the sharks or mantas.
Since you say you have 3 weeks, I would do a week in Palau and a week in Yap. Yap is famous for their mantas.
the rest of my Palau videos are here: http://www.vimeo.com/album/18777

November is perfect for big stuff in the Red Sea. You are almost guaranteed Longimanus (Oceanic Whitetip) and you are very likely to see Thresher Shark. Have a look at RED SEA YEAR - TIME TABLE to find out what to see where and when in the Red Sea and find info regarding the procedures on http://www.aziab.com/DIVING FROM LIVEABOARDS IN EGYPT.htm and if you have any questions feel free to email me.

I know you said no liveaboards but you should know that the Kona Aggressor is in cell phone range all the time, I had wifi most of the week. You will see mantas and maybe Hammers.
