the combination of a sherwood shadow (same idea as air2) and a quickdump valve on my bcd was interesting, when i had the shadow in my mouth and turned my head to the right, it would pull on the inflator hose and cause the quickdump to dump the air from my BCD. QUOTE]

I had an Oceanic version of an Air II put on my BC and had a similar intermittant problem, I took it apart and lengthened the cable inside the hose a little and it's been fine. Also been doing more of my own maintainance since.

Sorry for the hijack.

I dove a Sherwood Magnum from 1980 to last year when I picked up another Sherwood. I now use it on my pony bottle 'cause it still runs great.

I am all for fixing your own stuff... I switched to a BP/W to simplify things.. also, makes carrying an al80 stage much easier! Sherwood regs really work great.. just keep the 1st stage out of the rinse tank!!!
