I can only hold breath underwater for 40 secs tops. SCUBA is the only way to extend it.

there is another way to go beyond 40 secs.

want to try it? i do it everytime before i go scuba.

sure, as long it's free. how?

paolov:
apnea training and proper free diving techniques.

yeah, i've heard that freedivers have breathing exercises and all that to extend their bottom time and all... if you know how, can you teach me some when next we dive? or do i really need to go through a freediving course?

where : where ever i am. i do it.

i always (try) to do freediving before i do my dives .

it comes free with an OW course with me. hehehhehe....

.

actually, I wouldn't mind extending my bottom time on a single breath either. 30 odd seconds was my limit chasing whale sharks in Donsol - though that was pretty much going flat out...

oh what the the heck....

lets schedule it. but there would be at least a week of preparation before we go and do it. and for you to benefit from it you have to do as you are told , BUT (unlike the puppies) you do it on your own.

sounds good... as long as "do as you're told" does not involve doing chippesque maneuvers on stainless steel poles in front of rabid japanese tourists
