I guess earlier this week some random pod of orca rolled through North Sulawesi somewhere off Bolsel- about six hours south of Manado. How awesome would that have been?

I recall, in 2008 we saw orca in manado from our boat.
I also saw a pair of orcas during my first trip to Manado in 1995. We were on the boat during out SI at the time. Unfortunately they just swam right past us.
