Hello all! I live in Manchester and recently finished my open water certification. I don't personally know anyone who dives, and would like to hook up with a dive buddy. Keep in mind that I am extremely new to diving, having only 10 dives under my belt, but I'm an extremely cautious diver who would like to hook up with someone who has some experience and would be willing to pass that along to a newby.

Thanks,

Kristopher

Congrats on your recent certification!

SB is a great resource to meet divers, I've met some of my regular dive buddies here. Once the weather gets better me and my buddies tend to dive at least once during the weekend then often times a weekday afternoon or night dive. You're more than welcome to come dive with us.

Also, being in Manchester I'd check out the North Shore Frogmen. It's a great ACTIVE dive club, various members are out diving year round. Even if you're not diving unitl the spring you should come to a meeting and check it out. Meetings are at 8pm every Thursday at the Palmers Cove Yacht Club in Salem.

If you have any questions ask away!

Lewisevans,

Thanks for the reply! I'd love to meet fellow divers and hopefully absorb some good tips. I'm in school now and have classes on Thursday nights, so I will hope for a snow day that doesn't cancel one of the club meetings, so I can come check them out. Is there anyone I need to contact before attending a meeting? Any particular place at the club to go?

No need to contact anyone, however the president of the club is on SB, xjeslesx. We meet in either the dining room by the bar or in the large room next to the dining room. If you get a chance to go there is a social hour at the bar before the meeting at 7 and the meeting starts at 8. Just ask anyone there about the Froggies.
