I'm headed over to northern Idaho the first weekend in September (Sandpoint specifically) and was wondering if there's any good dive sites in Lake Pend Oreille or maybe even Lake Coeur d' Alene. I've heard wrecks can be found in both of these lakes and was wondering if there was anything interesting within recreational depths? Any dive shop recommendations to call for info? Any personal experience? Thanks!

I'm heading to Sandpoint Thursday to visit my folks who live right on the lake just across the bridge from Sandpoint. I've always thought about diving there but just took my first dive in 13 years 2 weeks ago. I was hoping th GF would be certified before we went this weekend but no luck because her class got re-schedule.

I hear there are some train cars that derailed off the bridge going into sandpoint. From what I remember it was not too deep.
