North Florida Opportunities

Hello everyone,
I am a new diver and looking for every dive opportunity that I can find. I am from SC but will be down in the Jax/Amelia Island area the last weekend in October. I am trying to find out if there are any dive opportunities in that area around that time. Unfortunately the only free time I will have will be on a Friday. I need lots of direction, I am new. I will need a place to rent gear, someone to show me where to dive, a buddy, the whole nine yards. Any suggestions?

I am pretty new to this myself
Out of Jax I think you can get a charter and go out to visit some wrecks.
There are also plenty of Spring Dives all in the North Central Florida Area, especially around the Gainesville area (which is about 1.5h from Jax).

One very popular spring is called Ginnie Spring. They have a full service dive shop.
