Good evening, im new to scuba and i been reading and posting here about me staring to scuba =) so because my end goal is spearfish many people recommended getting a backplate and wing BC, and i just want to ask what is you guys opinion on which one is the best one to get.. Not sure if it matter but im down in Tampa, FL weight about 210 and im 6.0ft

At the moment the one i like (the way it looks) the most is the Hollis HTS2 (Hollis Gear: HTS 2) i guess the HTS2 its just the backplate with the harness, then i would need to get a S25 or S38 wing right?

To channel my inner E.B. White. . . "simplify, simplify, simplify"

You don't need all that padding, and buckles and extra "D" rings and stuff.

A SS or aluminum backplate, some 2" webbing, 3 (or 4) "D" rings, a handfull of tri-glides and a buckle is all you need. . . and think of all the money you'll save :D
 
come down to EZ Scuba ( intersection of west Hillsborough & Kelly) and have the shop owner make you a custom one while you wait, fitted to your body, he can also save you a few bucks as we'll.

Miguel as it has been said on your other post, the Hollis is a soft backplate system and is WAY overpriced. you still need a wing. Not to mention the S38 wings are terrible for trim, at least the old ones are. They had way to much buoyancy in the top part of the wing. Stick to a diverite plate and a voyager wing or a HOG system with a basic harness. If you feel like you must have buckles and all the other bells and whistles get a "deluxe" harness for 20 bucks extra.
