Take your choice. Loud versue louder. Till we get under water - Oops. thats the real reason I dive - the quiet.

Actually, this trip I will probably let them buddy up and I will act as buddy for one of Jim's kids. Just depends on what Jim wants to do.

I forgot how quite they are underwater. :)
We can discuss the buddy logistics on the way down.

Ok guys, enough wife bashing...lol...If your wife is into nature/flora/fauna botany type stuff she will LOVE bonaire. We have a resident botanist who gives tours, excellent bird watching, horseback riding, oh and regarding orchids, for those that don't know we DO have wild orchids on Bonaire! I have a flamboyant tree in my yard and the previous owner gently tied them to the tree, they attached and surround the long wide branches of the flamboyant tree. They both live in happy harmony together! Also, if it's more of luxury that you want and dont' mind spending, do Harbor Village or contact SunRentals, ReMax or Sunbelt Realty to rent a luxury villa or home with ocean views, pool, etc. It all depends on what you want. Also, she would probably love the Kunuku Tour they do in Rincon. She will DEFININTELY love Washington-Slaagbai Park. You all can spend the day there, and you can even dive while she explores! Also Hans at Outdoor Bonaire can make arrangements for things for her do to while you all are diving. Let me tell you I'm SOOOOOOOOOO tired of hearing that Bonaire is only for diving...NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!

Wife bashing, heck no, were talking about DD's non stop talking teen girls, I'm not sure they actually breath in, just out. :)

dvrliz - Thanks for the added info. I am going to take a renewed look at Bonaire. I think you description of the other things to do will go over well with my wife - and there’s good news - she has become open to the idea that getting certified for a place like Bonaire is not out of the question! Turns out, its jut the cream of wheat visibility of the local lake that's a problem - for the crystal blue Bonaire waters - she just might dive!!! Yippee!

In any case - you've sold me on making a Bonaire trip happen. It might take a year, but you'll be hearing from us.

GREAT! I'm so glad I could make a difference! If she is really unsure I suggest a resort course here on Bonaire, another thing for her to try! It is cheap, under $100.00 includes everything and she spends 1/2 day in the pool learning the basics and then does 2-3 dives with divemaster/instructor in about 30 feet of water. You can see a lot in 30 feet here on Bonaire. We have had many people who have tried the resort course, LOVED IT, went back to their home state/country took the book and pool lessons then came back to Bonaire and did their check out dives (Hey I did my checkout dives her 15 years ago! Now I live here...lol..) In the mean time feel free to PM me on any questions you have or ask her on the forums. Don't know how NetDoc would react to this but I guess you could call me one of Bonaire Resident Experts...(very humbly of course, if I don't know I will find out!)
